Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes pay tribute to Len Dawson (Video)
The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes regarded as of late passed previous quarterback Len Dawson in more ways than one, including a pullover and a group.
Thursday night’s preseason game at Arrowhead Stadium offered the Chiefs lots of chances to honor Len Dawson after he passed at 87 years old this week.
Players wore a No. 16 decal on their caps notwithstanding other visual commitments to the quarterback.
Probably the most over the top contacting of those elaborate Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes went onto the field for warm-ups wearing a pullover portraying Dawson.
Then when the game started, Mahomes drove the offense onto the field and had the hostile cluster line up in Dawson’s “ensemble
group.”
Dawson has been credited with presenting the ensemble group as a method for darkening the safeguard from understanding what development was coming.
It was a cool second for Mahomes and the Chiefs, who got a punishment for deferral of game which the Packers declined.
Dawson joined the Dallas Texans in 1962 the prior year they moved to Kansas City and turned into the Chiefs. He played for the establishment until his retirement in 1976 at age 40.
